WorldLicensePlates.com offers images of license plates from nearly 250 countries around the world. The images are a mix of current and historical plates. There is no consistency from jurisdiction to jurisdiction with regards to what time frame is available, but the U.S. state we checked all offered the current plates, as well as a variety of historical ones.

 

The site includes the plates of all 50 states, U.S. protectorates such as Guam, the Marshall Islands, and the Virgin Islands. Plates issued by Sovereign Indian Nations within the United States are also included.

 

It also contains plates for some countriess that no longer exist such as Danzig and Rhodesia.

 

Users can browse for a specific country or state alphabetically, or click "Legend" at the top of the page to choose from one of the regional categories:
