| LLRX.COM LAUNCHES NEW
COURT RULES DATABASE Links to All Federal,
State, and Local Court Dockets, Forms and Rules
Available Free on the Internet
(November 9, 2000) -- LLRX.com,
the premiere web journal dedicated to Internet
legal research and technology-related issues, has
launched a new database containing links to more
than 700 sources for state and federal court
rules, forms and dockets. Quick and easy to use,
users can browse to find the resource they need, searching by type of
court (bankruptcy, federal, etc.), type of data
(rules, forms or dockets), by jurisdiction
(choose a state) or searching by keyword.
"Court Rules, Forms &
Dockets" is available at http://www.llrx.com/courtrules.
"Our users have told us that
one of the most useful resources provided by LLRX
was our article containing links to hundreds of
court rules available for free on the
Internet," said Cindy Chick Co-Editor,
LLRX.com. "Over time, many courts have added
dockets, forms, and rules to their sites. So we
expanded our court rules coverage to update and
expand our scope. This is a challenging task, as
it is really hit-or-miss regarding what materials
each court chooses to post on the Internet --
there's no standardization."
"If it's available anywhere
on the Internet, we will make it accessible
through this database," added LLRX.com
Editor, Sabrina Pacifici. "We developed this
database as a 'one-stop shop' for legal
professionals in need of court information."
You
can also search by typing in keywords into the
search engine. The search engine is not
completely up to speed, however. If you type in
McCracken to find the local court
rules of McCracken County, Kentucky, you'll be
informed that no such item exists. However, if
you click on Kentucky in the state
directory and scroll down to
McCracken, you will come upon a list
of counties, one of which is McCracken County.
Click on it and voila, the local rules of
McCracken County unfold before your very eyes.
Don't let this discourage you from checking out
this great resource. The volume of court
materials available through this database is
nothing short of amazing.
LLRX.com can be found on the
Internet at http://www.llrx.com.
