Computer security software vendor Zone Labs
has released version 4.0 of its popular ZoneAlarm Pro software. The software protects the valuable, personally-identifiable information contained on Internet-connected PCs from hackers, Spyware and data theft. It offers powerful security features and privacy tools, all of which are customizable.
ZoneAlarm Pro can protect users ‘out of the box,’ or can be configured by more advanced users to meet their needs.
“Zone Labs takes its commitment to protecting our users very seriously,” the company's vice president of marketing, Frederick Felman, said in a press release. “Our customers rely on us to continue strengthening our existing features as well as raising the bar for new standards in PC protection. We are constantly on the alert for new threats and theoretical exploits from the hacker community so that our customers receive proactive protection.” Enhancements in the new version include: the ability to automatically detect and configure VPN (Virtual Private Network) connections, making it easier for mobile workers to connect to their office networks while working remotely; and more control over a variety of firewall settings.
The ZoneAlarm Pro 4.0 Internet security solution supports Windows® 98SE, Me, NT, 2000 and XP. ZoneAlarm Pro 4.0 costs $49.95 for a single user and is available for purchase and download from the Zone Labs Web site.
