The Securities & Exchange Commission has launched real-time searchable access to its EDGAR database of public company filings. Users can search for filings by:

• Company Name
• SIC (Standard Industrial Classification) Code
• State
• CIK (Central Index Key) code

The SEC has also made a browseable list of "the latest" filings available in reverse chronological order. Previously, real-time access to SEC filings was only available from private vendors – most of which charged a fee for the service. See also:
