1. The Internet is a great research tool, but
don't forget its
value as a marketing tool. Is your web site
drawing clients?
Does it need a tune-up?
To be effective, clients and prospective clients
have to be able to find your web site.
There are numerous methods you can employ to
insure that they can.
Setting up a web site is only the first step to
effectively using the
Internet to market your law practice. E-mail
newsletters, newsgroups and publishing
online articles are all important elements in an
effective Internet marketing effort.
Learn about other Internet marketing strategies
and tips at
http://www.netforlawyers.com/internet_marketing.htm

2. Don't know how to send an e-newsletter to
clients or potential
clients, or don't have the time? We'll show you
how ... or do it for you.
Internet For Lawyers announces their new Internet
marketing
consulting services for law firms and solos.
Internet For Lawyers' (IFL) President Carole
Levitt has combined her
more than two decades of legal background and
Internet expertise
with IFL Vice-President Mark Rosch's 14 years
experience in Marketing to
advise law firms and solo attorneys on the most
effective methods of using the
Internet to generate business.
Mark is also the Web consultant for the State Bar
of California's Law Practice
Management & Technology Section.

age (on the web).

services (non-legal) at the FindLaw Web site.

5. Try ONLINE MCLE courses. The dreaded MCLE
deadline
is coming up for California attorneys--January
31, 2001.
There's no better way to quickly and painlessly
accumulate your
MCLE hours than going online. The benefits over
live seminars are:
no time lost to commuting to the live seminar,
you can go online at any time
and take the course on your schedule (not
theirs). You can even take many
courses in increments if you can't block out an
entire hour.
California, Arizona and New York attorneys can
earn MCLE credit from
Internet For Lawyers online courses. We now have
two courses available
online for a total of 3 possible credit hours.
Learn how to find Public Records
free on the Internet in one course and in another
course learn where to find
Company Information free on the Internet.
See http://www.netforlawyers.com/online_mcle.htm
For a review (from topics to cost) of 12 other
California MCLE online providers, see:
http://www.netforlawyers.com/cal_online_mcle.htm
Many of these providers are also approved in
other states to provide
MCLE credit.

6. "Three Simple Steps to Maintain Computer
Efficiency" - At the office and at home,
computer tune-up schedules save users time and
heartache.
Read Los Angeles Lawyer's Computer Counselor
Carole Levitt's November column,
co-written with the PC Maestro, Elliott Stern,
author of "Get Your Computer Running
Right".
"Feel sluggish? Been crashing more than
usual lately? Not you,
your computer. By taking about fifteen minutes
each week to run
a few daily and weekly diagnostic tests and
maintenance procedures
on each computer (at home and at the office,
networked or not),
sluggish performance and crashes can be averted.
Regular maintenance
enhances a computers performance, and
ultimately its user's performance."
