Google announced today the addition of, "24 x 7 phone support to small, medium, and large Google Apps for Business customers for all issues affecting the core services." Previously, support was handled via a Web-based support portal or online discussion forums.

Note, this support is only available to those businesses on the paid $50/user/year plan and not businesses using the free Google Apps version of the service. Google Apps customers will continue to have support only through the online discussion forums.
